Macro Features

Macro Features

When a film is created the narrative and genre is considered to be one of the most vital aspects of the process, These are known as macro features.

The types of Macro Features are;
Narrative
The narrative is way events are laid out when shown to an audience. The narrative is most often confused with the plot, however it is quite different, containing two types of narrative, Linear and Non Linear.
Linear narrative is when the story of a film continues in a simple storyline  the entire way through, start to finish, this is the case in many films such as "whats eating Gilbert Grape"
Non-linear is when the film does not follow a typical timeline, it may start in the middle, jump to the end and then return to the beginning, this can follow any number of different orders. A film with heavy examples of

Welcome post

This is my A-level Media blog, throughout this blog I will be posting work I do during lesson, out of lesson, and everything to do with my coursework.

This includes
• Exercises using the camera
• Timelines and progression sheets
• summaries and analysis' of films that we watch during and outside of lesson
•descriptions and demonstrations of different techniques, such as lighting and angles

And finally my Thriller that I will eventually make

The blog focuses on my progression through the course and will show everything that I do in a timeline of when I do it.
